I'm sorry I have been such a bad blogger this week. With school ending and Summer vacation beginning, I seem to be off in my own world. I'm excited to see Derek after a week of him being in Tahoe. I have to admit I'm jealous of him but I'm also glad he had so much fun. Tomorrow we plan on going to the beach with my best friend Kristi and her daughter Riley. It should be lots of fun. I hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Summer Vacation

Today is officially my last day of Summer school.
That means my summer Vacation can now start.
I know it is a little late in the season and some of you have to start school soon, but I have until mid September off so I'm pretty excited right now.
I'm now going to enjoy the company of friends and family and have lots of fun.

Congratulations to my beautiful best friend Ariel and her lover Henry on their beautiful baby girl. She is the sweetest little baby. I'm so happy for them and can't wait to shower that baby with love. Congratulations again you two on your arrival.

Grilled Sandwiches

Yesterday I shared my picnic date with Derek. Today I thought I would share the delicious sandwiches we made. I love having a fresh sandwich in the summer. It is filling but light and usually oh so good. We made chicken sandwiches on kaiser rolls with grilled peppers, onions, spinach, cheese, avocado, and dill pesto mayo.

The other night Derek and I went on a nice picnic date. It was so much fun. We had home-made chicken sandwiches, pasta salad, chocolate squares, and pink lemonade. We rode our bikes down the river and sat under a tree. It was so nice to watch the sunset over the river, and we even had a train pass by us. It was a perfect romantic night to start our week.

Bedroom

Lately I have been spending a lot more time in my room. Even though I have lived in my apartment for almost a year I have never quite felt like my room has been truly finished. So I have made a wish list for things I would like to get for the fall.


A breakfast tray. I love the idea of having coffee in bed.

Having an organized desk. I know this isn't something you can purchase but it would be nice if I actually got around to organizing.

Nice curtains. The curtain I have now are not cute but are functional. I just wish I could have functional and cute curtains.
