Pizza

{BBQ chicken pizza before it was baked}

Lately I have been obsessed with PIZZA.
Normally I love pizza but in the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to get enough of it.
Twice last week Derek and I made homemade pizza.
Once planned and the second spontaneously.
I'm even having homemade pizza tonight at my parents house.
They make the best homemade pizza!
Anyways, our first was BBQ chicken pizza with cilantro and red onions.
The second time we made pizza I used Alfredo sauce on tortillas
with cilantro and onions we had left over.
Oh and course we used lots and lots of cheese both times.

Good Morning

I love mornings that I can wake up late.
Thankfully every Tuesday I get to.
This morning I'm enjoying a cup of coffee in my favorite mug, and homemade banana bread.
I promise I do use other mug!  It is just my favorite so I use it every chance I get.
Having a mid week break from everyday hustle is so nice.
I do spend the rest of the day in class and doing homework,
but waking up and having time to do what I want is so nice.

Have A Good Weekend

I am very excited for this weekend.
Tonight, Michelle and I are having a girl's night at our place.
It has been a long time since we have had anything at our house.
I love hosting things and what a better thing to host than a girl's night with yummy cocktails and junk food.
Then on Saturday my mom is coming down.
We are going out to dinner and the play Wicked with a couple of her friends.
It should be a great weekend.
Now if only the sun would show its face around here.

Pictures

I decided today I would just share some of my favorite photos of over the past couple of years.  This barely scratches the surface of how many great moments I have captured on film but I thought I would share some.

Friendships

Yesterday, Derek and I sat down over tea and oranges.
No t.v., no music, no one else, just the two of us {and Bailey puppy}
It was nice to actually talk to one another.
It made me realize that we had gotten so used to coexisting that some where we had stopped being friends.
This made me sad and I realized I needed to work on my relationships.
Not just with Derek, but with my friends too.  Friendships are just as important as romantic relationships.
So my new goal is to work on telling my loved ones and friends that they do matter to me.

{Side note: this is my favorite mug that my
Aunt Marie gave me.
It has this sweet little mouse on
it that makes me so happy every time I use it.}

Good End To A Bad Day

Yesterday was not a good day.  I couldn't seem to find anything that would help pick me up. That is until I decided to make french toast for dinner.  I love french toast and it did just the trick.  It wasn't as good as my dad used to make, but since I have developed a cinnamon allergy over the last couple of years, I didn't add it.
I did beat four eggs, 1/2 cup of milk (just eyeballed it), and a teaspoon of vanilla together.  I then soaked each piece of bread for a few seconds on each side and toasted them in a a buttered pan.  I enjoyed my french toast with sliced strawberries and maple syrup on top.  What a great way to end a bad day!

Sorry!

 {Kristi and Riley}
I'm so sorry that I have been such a bad blogger lately.  Last week was filled with homework, projects, and studying for midterms.  Thankfully that week is over and now it is a new one.
I do have to say even though last week was crazy busy, I had a wonderful weekend at my parents house.  I got to spend time with two of my best friends, Kristi and Ariel.
I got to see my beautiful niece, Riley!  And Easter was filled with blueberry pancakes and chocolate.  What more could I ask for?
